Rafael Meadows is a neighborhood in San Rafael CA, located to the west of Highway 101 parallel to the Marin County Civic Center.
Built in the early 1950's, many of the original residents remained for decades in this quiet, cozy and somewhat protected area. Bounded by 101 on the east, the old railroad tracks on the west (now used by the SMART train, after 40 years of peaceful back to nature), it is a place with a healthy combination of homeowners and renters.
The San Rafael Meadows Improvement Association is a volunteer organization supported by contributions from residents, currently $50 per year per household.
SRMIA produces several events each year, including the Summer BBQ (early September), a Holiday Evening (recently with carriage rides around the neighborhood), Easter Egg Party (with an egg hunt for the little ones), and the Ice Cream Social.
This website was set up in September 2019 by Eric Bobrow (resident homeowner here since 1997) along with an email list to allow SRMIA to share news, announcements and information with all neighbors who are interested.
